Delhi Airport T2 Terminal To Remain Shut From May 18, 2021. Since the number of domestic flights has lowered significantly due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the Delhi Airport Authorities have decided to shut down the Terminal T2 of Delhi Airport starting from May 18, 2021.
From May 18th onward, all flights will only be handled at the T3 terminal of Delhi International Airport. Delhi Airport which used to handle 1500 flights a day earlier is now only handling 325 flights a day.
Indigo has released a notification on twitter regarding the same after the news came – “Delhi terminal update: Effective 18th May 2021, all flights will arrive and depart from Terminal 3.”
Indigo has been operating most of its flight from the T2 Terminal of Delhi Airport earlier which is now being switched to Terminal 3 in order to reduce the operation cost of Delhi Airport.
