Emirates Extends Flight Ban On India Till June 30. Emirates, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates on Sunday further extended the flight ban between India and UAE till 30th June 2021.
Passengers those who have transited or transferred through India in the last 14 days will not be accepted to travel from any other point to the UAE.
Those passengers who need to travel to UAE needs to quarantine themselves for 14 days outside of UAE if they have visited/travelling from India.
The rule is however not applicable for UAE Nationals, Residents, holders of UAE Golden Visas, and members of diplomatic missions who comply with the revised published COVID‑19 protocols.
Emirates has earlier announced the suspension of all inbound flights for national and international carriers coming from India amidst a massive surge in COVID-19 cases in India.
The restriction on Indian travellers started on April 24, 2021 which is now getting extended to June 30, 2021.
Emirates is offering following options for cancelled bookings:
- Date Rescheduling to a future flight.
- You don’t need to call us if you choose to keep your ticket for future flights. You can get all the information on the “Keep your ticket” option here. Please contact your booking office when you are ready to travel.
- Rebook your flight to another date
- For rebooking please contact your travel agent or booking office.
It is known that few expats and golden visa holders of UAE returned to UAE on private jets and also via regular passenger flights. However, mandatory quarantine guidelines needs to be followed by them on arrival in the UAE.
