Govt To Help Indian Students Who Are Studying Abroad And Stuck In India. Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India extends help to those Indian students who are studying abroad and are stuck in India due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Saturday in a tweet said, “Indian students studying abroad but stuck in India due to COVID-19 and related issues can get in touch with the OIA-II Division at @MEAIndia.”
Ministry has also issued a series of guidelines meant to help students find proper directions on getting back to the foreign country where they are studying and follow the regular classes as soon as possible.
The Ministry of External Affairs recommends all students who are stuck in India, follow the below steps to get help from the Indian govt. as soon as possible
- Contact India’s ministry of external affairs if you are facing mobility issues due to the pandemic.
- Send your contact details, i.e. email id and mobile number, to the OIA-II division of the ministry.
- The emails for the OIA-II division where the students should send their contacts to are: [email protected] and [email protected].
The announcement comes since many students who study in foreign countries have been stuck in India due to travel restrictions imposed or flight suspension by many countries due to COVID 19.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak in India many countries have imposed ban and travel restrictions on passengers from India and also suspended passengers flights from India. Some countries marked India as red list country as well.
