Taj Mahal | Agra | Full Tour | Symbol of Love | World Wonder

We have reached Agra and without telling you can guess the first destination we would be exploring. It is none other than Taj Mahal, one of the seven world wonders that exists in India, the symbol of Love, the great architecture built by the mughal emperor Shahjahan for his love Mumtaz. The great wonder is located in the Agra region of the Indian State Uttar Pradesh. Taj Mahal is added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site apart from being part of the World Wonders. The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was build during 1632 – 1653 by around 20000 men under the guidance of the Mughal dynasty and mainly the emperor Shah Jahan. In 1631, Mumtaz Mahal died after giving birth to the couple’s 14th child. The grieving Shah Jahan, known for commissioning a number of impressive structures throughout his reign, ordered the building of a magnificent mausoleum across the Yamuna River from his own royal palace at Agra.

Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram, better known by his regnal name Shah Jahan, was the fifth Mughal emperor, who reigned from 1628 to 1658.
