Travel Techies is at Iyobinte Pusthakam Shooting Locations, Ashley Bungalow Kuttikkanam. It is the malayalam movie shooting locations of the Malayalam movie Iyobinte Pusthakam starring Fahadh Faasil, Lal, Isha Sharvani, Padmapriya, Chemban Vinod, Vinayakan, Lena, TG Ravi and Aashiq Abu. Majority of the scenes of the movie were shot in Ashley Bungalow in Kuttikanam, which in the movie is shown as the British Bungalow which was handed over to Iyob(Lal) once the British left India. The movie shows life during 1900 in and around Munnar and Vagamon. Several other movies like Kanakanmani were also shot here.

This is the bungalow where Iyob and his family live. Scenes shot at the front part of the house stays in our minds forever. Fahadh(Aloshi) later comes to the house and then leaves. Many beautiful shots of the inside view of the house is also shown. The famous dialog “Aloshi Nee Communist aano” which Iyob asks his son Aloshi is also shot at the front lawn part of the house. Other scenes include the family dinner, family discussion, kicking out Lena(Kazhali) from the house and many more.
The Ashley Bungalow was built in 1875 by the Bakers and their associates. It is going to be around 150 years since the construction and still a stay in the bungalow amidst the tea plantations and mist would be a memorable experience. However, it would cost 35,000 to book the bungalow for a day! But the beauty of the place and the awesome stay would definitely be worth it. Travel Techies would soon be spending a weekend there(dreaming to :D)
